ROSE'S VERY HEALTHY HOLIDAY CHALLAH:

INGREDIENT:
1 PACKAGE DRY YEAST
2 CUPS LUKEWARM WATER
SUGAR
2 LBS. EXTRA FINE FLOUR
A DASH OF SALT
2 EGGS

DIRECTIONS:
1. OPEN A FRESH PACKAGE OF YEAST. ADD ONE CUP LUKE WARM WATER, A LITTLE SUGAR OR
    FLOUR AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE PACKAGE FOR BEST RESULTS.
2. LET THE YEAST FERMENT FOR AT LEAST TWO HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.
3. WHEN THE YEAST HAS SUFFICIENTLY FERMENTED GRADUALLY ADD ABOUT A CUP OF LUKEWARM WATER
    AND THE TWO POUNDS OF FLOUR, ONE EGG & A DASH OF SALT. THE FORMING DOUGH SHOULD START
    PULLING AWAY FROM YOUR HANDS AS YOU KNEAD IT FOR TWENTY MINUTES.
4. PUT THE DOUGH IN A COVERED BOWL FOR ONE HOUR AND LET RISE.
5. AFTER ONE HOUR, PUNCH THE DOUGH DOWN AND LET IT RISE A SECOND TIME FOR ANOTHER HOUR.
6. THE DOUGH IS NOW READY FOR BRAIDING. BRAIDING IS AN OPTIONAL DECORATIVE STEP. BRAIDING
    CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY DIVIDING THE DOUGH INTO THREE ROPES AND TREATING THEM AS
    IF YOU WERE BRAIDING SOMEONE'S HAIR.
7. TO ACHIEVE A SHINY CRUST, BRUSH THE BREAD WITH A BEATEN EGG.
8. BAKE THE CHALLAH FOR 45 MINUTES TO ONE HOUR OR UNTIL IT APPEARS A DEEP SHADE OF AMBER.
    THE RESULTS OF YOUR EFFORTS SHOULD BE SERVED AT THE COMMENCEMENT OF THE
    SABBATH ON FRIDAY EVENING OR ON HOLIDAYS OR SPECIAL OCCASIONS.
